The webinar "The EU Posted Workers Directive and its relevance for Swiss employers" took place on Wednesday, 29 July 2020, 10.00am (CET), where we discussed the implications of the posted workers directives for Swiss employers and provide an update on recent developments.

From 30 July 2020, the principle of “equal pay for equal work” between posted and local workers,is due to become law across the EU, as mandated by the revised Posted Workers Directive (European Union  Directive 957/2018). We shall explain its implications and what it means for you as Swiss employer, whose employees are travelling or working temporarily within the EU.

We discussed the following topics: 

  • The requirements of the PWD and latest developments
  • The impact of "equal pay for equal work"
  • Implications for Swiss employers from a Swiss inbound and outbound perspective
