Tax Firm of the Year_2018

2018 marks the sixth consecutive year that the industry-leading tax publication International Tax Review names Deloitte Switzerland “Tax Firm of the Year”. Deloitte Switzerland was also chosen as “Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year” for the sixth time in the last seven years. Winning these awards stands testimony to the quality and sustainable success of the tax and legal practice of Deloitte Switzerland.

“It’s a great success that we have once again, for the sixth time in a row, been named best tax practice in Switzerland,” said Jackie Hess, Managing Partner Tax & Legal at Deloitte Switzerland. “This award clearly validates our efforts to create continued value added for our clients in a changing tax environment – which clearly translated into market success. For some years, Deloitte has enjoyed the fastest growth among the large tax firms in Switzerland. Over the last years, we have been able to continuously increase our market share, improve our reputation and expand our advisory capabilities. We see ourselves as thought and innovation leader in the tax field. Our success over the last years has only been possible thanks to the excellent qualification and motivation of our staff at all levels. This award helps us to continue to attract and retain the best talent.”

Deloitte is one of the leading professional services firms globally and offers clients a comprehensive spectrum of integrated tax advisory services. The Swiss Tax & Legal team is comprised of over 300 employees, which can rely on a well-established global network of member firms. The international and national tax environment has never been as complex and, in particular, as dynamic as it is today. Transparency requirements are increasingly comprehensive, and non-compliance with international tax regulation can lead to high costs and reputational damage.

The fundamental changes in international tax regulation and the higher transparency needs, require companies to assess, and where necessary to adjust, their tax and business structures. Companies must also review and, where necessary, improve their control and compliance mechanisms. For multinational groups headquartered in Switzerland and operations in various foreign countries, in particular, this presents special challenges as well as unique opportunities. Deloitte Tax & Legal Switzerland helps multinationals to navigate this complex tax environment and provides tailor made solutions, also with the help of new technologies.

“With our solutions we help our clients to meet the complex challenges of a rapidly changing tax and economic landscape, to avoid unnecessary costs and reputational damage and to remain competitive. Wherever tax changes require an adjustment to business structures and models, Deloitte, as an integrated global service provider, can not only provide tax advice, but also offer strategic, operational, technological as well as legal consulting services from a single source, and can in this way help to make such projects successful,” Jackie Hess explains further.
