Join us: at Building Bridges Event on October 2-5 in Geneva to learn about the latest trends in sustainable finance and connect with other change makers - Financial Services

Building Bridges

Deloitte is proud to be a Silver sponsor of Building Bridges 2023, and to contribute to this unique movement.

The next edition of Building Bridges will take place on October 2-5 at the CICG in Geneva to leverage the power of finance for the Sustainable Development Goals.

This international event will feature over 65 interactive sessions that will address some of the most pressing challenges that are affecting our planet. Building Bridges 2023 will open with a high-level Summit that will explore the interdependence of human, social, natural, climate and financial capital with prominent thought leaders. The Building Bridges Summit will be followed by 3 action-oriented days that will showcase panel discussions, workshops, fishbowl conversations, and networking events led by 100 entities from the private sector, academia, government, and international organizations.

The 2023 edition will convene key initiatives that are shaping the global sustainable finance agenda. Building Bridges will host the European launch of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), UNFCCC’s 2nd Sharm el-Sheikh dialogue, as well as other projects that are implementing concrete sustainable solutions.

Join us on October 4 for an event co-hosted in collaboration with WWF. We will analyse the impact of the insurance sector on biodiversity and climate, and encourage participants to discuss the implementation of specific concepts and recommendations.

Join us and our expert Marcel Meyer on October 5 for a session co-hosted in collaboration with Barclays, and Oberson Abels to explore how fiduciary duty could unlock unprecedented opportunities for our planet and societies. The event will discuss whether the performance-oriented interpretation of the fiduciary duty is still relevant and sufficient in the context of climate change.
